About Me

Hi, I'm Sherri and I am on a mission to live deliberately and more productively.
While many people are working toward becoming self-sufficient on an urban farms or acreage homesteads, I am reaching for something moderately less rigorous. That of creating a self-supporting home. To achieve this I intend to identify ways of simplifying my life, spending less and saving more, and putting systems in place in my home and garden that will enable me to create a flourishing household economy.
I am a seeker. I don't accept everything in the main stream media at face value.
I believe in becoming a producer not just a consumer. I believe in people being treated like citizens by the powers that be, and not just shoppers.
I also believe in learning to lead a life centred on the principles of thrift, prudence, and relocalisation; and embracing each day as an opportunity for joy, fun and gratitude.
I appreciate positivity; - in myself and others.
I love the comforts of home, the restorative power of nature, curling up with a good book, and building things of lasting value.
This blog is an archive of ideas and information that inspire me, and actions I am taking to achieve my mission.

Please don’t use my photos or content without first asking my permission. However if you would like to link to something in my blog, please do so. Thanks for the content appreciation!
